Snoooow

The past week or so there's been an absolutely insane amount of snow, I woke up one morning to find Cardiff looking like a big ski resort, lol. Anyways term was over so my parents came to Cardiff to give me a lift back, and while they were busy digging the car out of the snow I managed to get a few photos.

The journey back ended up taking 7 hours (normally takes 2.5 hours)... despite the UK generally having quite cold and miserable weather it doesn't really snow that often, so the country kinda grinds to a halt when it does. This mess of a weather report from a few days ago made me laugh:

"Today's weather will be... all over the fucking place"

On the poker front, I've put in about 25k hands over the past week which is pretty decent. Again, profit hasn't been amazing but that does include a nightmare -$1.1k session the other day, probably my worst session ever in both $ and buyins (all 100NL). But I've more or less got unstuck since then, and I've cleared $650 in bonuses and waiting for a $450 RB payment so overall I'm up about $1.5k in the past week:

I also watched a vid by Nikachu on 3betting, which along with all the hilarious rabbit animations was actually very insightful. It's made me rethink my 3b game a bit, which has been working pretty well and has the added benefit of shaving 10bb/100 off my standard deviation. I feel like it's a step in the right direction - if you check out some of my posts from summer 2009 I was playing really solid and winning very consistently without too much fancy play, which is something I've been trying to replicate in 6max.
