This is a long overdue update, but I've been very busy and this has been a pretty depressing week. I just got hit with a few more pieces of coursework, so I now have no fewer than 5 assignments due in the next 3 weeks or so, and as of yesterday I've been dealing with some absolutely outrageous personal shit. I'd rather not talk about that but suffice to say I'm not a happy bunny right now...
The poker front has been going a bit more happily though - I'm definitely starting to get the hang of the live nuances and have been making a mint against the donks down at Gala and Croups... up about £550 in the past week despite a bad session on Sunday where I lost a bunch of preflop flips for large sums of money against some random megafish, who promptly donated it all to the Mr Khan Foundation... -_-
I also hit a total of £1k in real cash monies - I have fond memories of hitting that milestone online and I'm glad it only took a few weeks to do it live. Plus the visual effect of having £1k+ in £20 notes is pretty damn satisfying. My recent blog posts probably make it seem like I have nothing better to do than take photos of money but I'm still new to live poker and the novelty hasn't worn off yet, lol

gg wallet.
Anyways, I ended up chatting to some online reg in Croups the other night, turns out I've played against him quite a bit online, lol. Croups does seem a lot reggier than other places, but the fish seem a lot splashier, less old nits who sit with 40bbs so it seems like a decent place to play, especially on Fridays when they run a £35 donkament.
I might be off to Swansea some time to check out Aspers and possibly Grosvenor since I've heard good things about them, but until then I probably won't be playing as much because I'm so busy now. I've also come to realise that since starting to play live, I've only put in one short session of online poker, and although I've made a good £750 or so playing live the past month, it only equates to like £5-6/hr. Obviously it's good fun / more social, and imo it's easier to put in a 10 hour live session than say, a 4 hour online session, but I feel like my bottom line is suffering a bit too much. A good compromise might be cutting out my Sunday Gala session and playing online instead, since I'd still go Friday and Saturday anyway, and Sunday isn't generally as good as Fri/Sat, whereas online it's still pretty soft. I guess I'll have to see how that works out.
As for photography, I haven't been doing much of that recently - the pic below is a kinda abstract one from donking around with low light and the blinds in my room. Pretty noisy though... might look better in B&W although I'd have to tinker with the levels a bit.

I was thinking of going to Bute Park with my camera around 6:30am after Gala a couple weeks ago, cause there was a full moon, but ended up being too tired so I'll wait for the next one and try to get some cool shots.

There's no pic?
I had "November Rain" in my head earlier today, whose sole purpose is nowadays to remind me how much I like "Helena"
er, tl;dr, but only because the title send me off on an epiphany :p
@ Kevin, pics are working fine for me, are they showing up in other posts?
Are you going to be around London January 17th? Looks like I'm booking a trip to Farnborough during that week. I'll probably come in on Saturday; do you want to meet up? It would be cool to hit up some of these places.
